Create a crowd-pleasing dinner with this traditional paprika chicken recipe.
Ingredients:
20.00 gm butter
8chicken thigh fillets, skin on
2brown onions, chopped
2red capsicums, deseeded, cut into 2cm pieces
20.00 gm paprika
2.50 gm ground ginger
2.50 gm ground nutmeg
20.00 ml dried basil
339.15 gm chicken style liquid stock
250.00 gm white wine
48.80 gm Worcestershire sauce
62.50 ml plain yoghurt
Steamedbrown rice, to serve
Green beans, to serve
Instructions:
In a heavy-based saucepan over high heat, heat oil and butter. Add chicken and cook until golden on each side, about 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
Sauté onion and capsicum until soft, around 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in paprika, ginger, nutmeg, basil, stock, wine, and Worcestershire sauce. Add chicken back to the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes.
Uncover and simmer for an additional 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the chicken is fully cooked.
Gently fold in yogurt and heat for 5 minutes without boiling, or until warmed through. Plate the dish and serve with rice and green beans.
