Elevate your baked beans with a mix of five flavorful beans, savory bacon, and sweet onion for a delicious twist on a classic dish.
Ingredients:
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans
  • 1 (16 ounce) can great Northern beans, drained
  • 1 (16 ounce) can baked beans
  • 1 (16 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 0.75 cup ketchup
  • 0.5 cup molasses
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a large, deep skillet, sizzle the bacon until perfectly crispy. Save 2 tablespoons of the flavorful drippings. Break the bacon into pieces and place in a large bowl. Saute the onion and garlic in the reserved drippings until tender. Remove any excess grease and add them to the bowl with the bacon.
  • Add the pinto beans, northern beans, baked beans, kidney beans, and garbanzo beans to the bacon and onions. Stir in ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and black pepper, ensuring everything is well mixed. Transfer the mixture to a 9x12 inch casserole dish.
  • Bake covered in a preheated oven for 1 hour.
