Patricia's Green Chile Soup

A popular spicy green chili soup loved by all, best served with buttered tortillas, cheese, and sour cream.
Ingredients:
1tablespoonbutter
0.5 cupfinely dicedonion
1teaspoonmincedgarlic
0.5 cupchoppedfresh green chile peppers
1 (5 ounce) canchunk chicken
1.5 teaspoons ground cumin
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1.25 cups half-and-half cream
1cupshreddedCheddar cheese
0.25 cupsour cream
Instructions:
In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter and sauté onion until translucent for 3 to 4 minutes. Add garlic, green chiles, chicken, and cumin. Cook for about 1 minute to blend flavors. Stir in cream of chicken soup and half-and-half, then cook until heated through for about 5 minutes.
Serve steaming soup in individual bowls, generously sprinkle cheese on top, and finish with a dollop of tangy sour cream.
