Easy tangy barbeque sauce for beef in slow cooker. Make big batch, freeze for later. No waiting!
Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 3 large onions, chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1.25 cups ketchup
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons barbeque sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 0.125 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 pounds boneless beef chuck roast, trimmed and chopped
Instructions:
  • Combine celery, onions, green pepper, ketchup, water, barbeque sauce, vinegar, and hot pepper sauce in a large bowl. Season with chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the roast in a slow cooker and generously coat it with the flavorful sauce mixture. Let it simmer on Low for around 12 hours until perfectly tender.
  • Using a fork, shred the meat. Increase the heat to High and simmer until most of the liquid evaporates.
