Try these quick and easy dumplings in the pie maker for a delicious new twist!
Ingredients:
  • 250g pork mince
  • 62.50 ml finely chopped wombok (Chinese cabbage)
  • 48.00 gm white miso paste
  • 1 small green onion, chopped
  • 10.60 gm soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 275g packet (30) gow gee wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for greasing
  • 81.68 gm Japanese-style mayonnaise
  • Shredded green onion, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix together mince, wombok, miso paste, chopped onion, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Season with pepper to taste.
  • Lay a gow gee wrapper down. Add a generous teaspoon of mince mixture in the middle. Moisten the edge with water. Fold and crimp the edges to seal the filling. Repeat with the rest of the wrappers and mince.
  • - Preheat your pie maker and lightly grease the holes with vegetable oil. - Place one dumpling in each hole and close the lid. - Cook for 6 minutes. - Drizzle each dumpling with 1 teaspoon of water, then close the lid and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until dumplings are tender and their bases are golden. - Carefully transfer to a plate and cover loosely to keep warm. - Repeat the process with the remaining dumplings.
  • In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise and the remaining sesame oil.
  • Top the dumplings with sesame mayonnaise and a sprinkle of shredded onion before serving.
