Chill these delectable pork and spinach dumplings for 30 minutes before enjoying their amazing flavors!
Ingredients:
  • 250g lean pork mince
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 62.50 ml sliced water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 30g baby spinach leaves, roughly chopped
  • 2.50 gm cornflour
  • 28 fresh wonton wrappers (see note)
  • 100g baby Asian salad greens, to serve
  • 65.63 gm soy sauce, extra, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix together the pork, green onion, water chestnut, soy sauce, and spinach. Season with pepper and use your hands to combine everything thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes before moving on to the next step.
  • In a small bowl, combine cornflour and 1 tablespoon water until smooth. Spoon 1 heaped teaspoon of pork mixture onto the center of a wonton wrapper. Lightly brush edges of the wrapper with the cornflour mixture. Fold one edge over to create a triangle shape, then seal and twist the edges. Repeat the process with the remaining pork mixture, cornflour mixture, and wonton wrappers.
  • Prepare a large steamer basket by lining the base with baking paper. Arrange wontons in a single layer in the basket. Steam with the lid on over boiling water for 5 minutes or until the wrappers are tender. Serve on plates with baby Asian salad greens and extra soy sauce on the side for dipping.
