Create an exquisite side dish with just 3 simple ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 60g butter, melted
  • 1kg desiree potatoes, unpeeled, thinly sliced
  • 50g parmesan cheese, (or vegetarian hard cheese) finely grated
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C while generously brushing a 20cm round springform pan with butter. Then, place the pan on a baking tray.
  • Create a base in the pan with slightly overlapping potato slices. Brush with butter, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of cheese, season with salt and pepper. Repeat process 4 more times to achieve a total of 5 layers.
  • Bake without a cover for 50-55 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then carefully remove from the pan onto a serving plate. Cut into wedges and enjoy with roast chicken or grilled fish.
