Cheesy layered potato bake loaded with veggies - a cozy winter comfort dish!
Ingredients:
  • 700g desiree potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 1 small brown onion, thinly sliced
  • 125.00 ml grated tasty cheese
  • Salad leaves, to serve
  • 64.38 gm milk
  • 63.13 gm pure cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced and lightly grease a 6 cup-capacity baking dish.
  • Prepare the milk mixture by combining milk, cream, and garlic in a jug. Season with salt and pepper, then add nutmeg for a touch of warmth and depth of flavor.
  • Begin by arranging one-quarter of the potatoes on the bottom of the dish. Next, evenly distribute one-third of the onions on top. Repeat this process, ensuring the final layer consists of potatoes.
  • Drizzle the milk mixture over the potato blend, then generously sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is beautifully golden. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
