Elevate classic potatoes with Swiss cheese, fresh herbs, and garlic for a delightful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1.2kg waxy potatoes (such as Lady Cristl potatoes), peeled
  • 250ml (1 cup) Thickened Cream
  • 165.00 ml shredded Swiss cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to season
  • 40.00 ml fresh continental parsley, chopped
Instructions:
  • Prep the dish: Preheat the oven to 160°C. Grease a 2L (8-cup) baking dish with butter and impart flavor by rubbing with a halved garlic clove. Thinly slice the potatoes crosswise.
  • Layer the dish: Start with a layer of overlapping potato slices at the bottom. Drizzle cream over the potatoes and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of shredded Swiss cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Repeat this process three more times, finishing with a final layer of Swiss cheese on top.
  • Bake in the oven for 1-1 1/4 hours until the potato is tender and the top is golden. Allow to rest for 10 minutes, then garnish with parsley before serving.
