Serve a delicious potted ham with garlic crostini platter for a relaxing and stylish gathering with friends.
Ingredients:
  • 1 shallot, peeled, very finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated
  • ½ lemon, rind finely grated, juiced
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 100g sour cream
  • 1½ tsp Dijon mustard
  • 400g sliced Half Leg Ham Single Beechwood Smoked
  • 1½ tbsp finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped tarragon or 1 tsp dried tarragon
  • 1 Mini Rye Pane Di Casa*, thinly sliced bread
  • 1 garlic clove, halved
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together the shallot, garlic, lemon rind, lemon juice, and vinegar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until the shallot softens.
  • Combine the sour cream, oil, mustard, and 1 tablespoon of water with the shallot mixture until creamy. Season to taste.
  • Coarsely shred the ham using 2 forks, then mix it with the sour cream mixture, parsley, and tarragon. Stir well to combine and season with pepper to taste.
  • To prepare the garlic crostini, preheat a chargrill on medium-high heat. Gently coat both sides of the bread with olive oil spray. Grill for 3 minutes, flipping once, until golden brown. Allow the bread to cool slightly, then rub both sides with the cut side of the garlic clove.
  • Present the ham mixture in a serving dish alongside the garlic crostini on a platter and serve promptly.
