Festive spiced quick bread for a fragrant kitchen.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 0.66666668653488 cup water
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and give a gentle grease to two 9x5 inch loaf pans.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour in water and mix until fully incorporated. Fold in pumpkin, ginger, allspice, cinnamon, and clove.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold in the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just combined. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
