Create a delectable holiday pumpkin pie using freshly roasted pumpkin.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 dash ground allspice
  • 1 dash ground cloves
  • 1.75 cups mashed cooked pumpkin
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1.5 cups warm 2% evaporated milk
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared pie crust
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, blend brown sugar, ground ginger, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. Add pumpkin and eggs, then beat until smooth. Stir in evaporated milk and pour into the pie crust.
  • Bake the pie in a preheated oven until the center is set, which should take approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Allow it to cool to room temperature before serving.
