Indulgent pecan dessert that combines the best of pie and cake. Add extra pecans and serve with ice cream for a decadent treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (29 ounce) can pumpkin
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 0.75 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and give a gentle greasing to a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle cake mix over the pumpkin mixture, drizzle with butter, and then top with pecans.
  • Place in the oven that has been preheated for optimum results and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Allow the dish to cool before serving.
