Spooky Halloween meatloaf stuffed with gooey cheese, tangy BBQ sauce, and crispy French-fried onions for a deliciously eerie dish.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups dry bread crumbs
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.75 (12 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce
  • 1 cup French-fried onions
  • 3 large black olives
  • 3 spaghetti noodles, broken into halves
  • 2 slices red potato
  • 2 cups crushed French-fried onions, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect temperature to create delicious baked dishes.
  • Combine ground beef, eggs, onion, milk, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl until fully mixed to create the rat body mixture.
  • Combine Cheddar cheese, 3/4 bottle of barbeque sauce, and 1 cup French-fried onions in a separate bowl, stirring gently to create the flavorful rat guts.
  • Spread half of the rat body mixture onto a sheet of waxed paper and shape it into a rat body form. Top it with a generous layer of the cheese mixture, leaving a 1/2 inch border along the edges.
  • Spread the remaining rat body mixture evenly on top to shape the body and create a sealed edge to prevent any spillage during baking.
  • Flip the broiler pan upside down and arrange the rat on top. Adjust the rat's shape if necessary. Use olives for the eyes and nose, potato slices for the ears, and spaghetti for the whiskers. Coat the rat body with 1/4 bottle of barbeque sauce and top with crushed French-fried onions. Place the broiler rack on top of the pan.
  • Place the ratloaf in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese is melted, approximately 1 hour. Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
