Irresistible quick bread topped with Reese's™ peanut butter cups.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 large)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 packages (1.5 oz each) chocolate covered Reese's peanut butter cups, cut into small pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or 325°F for a dark pan). Grease and flour the bottom of a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Using a large bowl and an electric mixer, cream the sugar and butter together until creamy on medium speed.
  • Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, and bananas in a bowl. Beat for about 30 seconds until well blended. Add all remaining ingredients except for the reserved 2 tablespoons of cut up candy. Mix just until moistened. Fold in the rest of the candy with a spoon, then pour the mixture into the pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Finely chop the 2 tablespoons of reserved candy and sprinkle it on the warm bread. Let it cool completely for about 2 hours before serving.
