Warm pear crisp with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, perfect with ice cream for a cozy fall treat.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups sliced pears
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, or more as needed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and give a gentle grease to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange the pears evenly on the bottom of the baking dish and generously drizzle with warm melted butter and pure maple syrup.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly, adding more flour if needed. Sprinkle over pears.
  • Bake until the pears are bubbling and the topping is crisp, approximately 30 minutes in a preheated oven.
