Create tasty Mexican-style ground beef for tacos, salads, or burritos.
Ingredients:
1poundground beef
4.5 cups water
1 (16 ounce) cantomato sauce
1 (12 ounce) cantomato paste
2 (4 ounce) canschopped green chilies
1cupinstant rice
1tablespoonwhite sugar
2teaspoons chili powder
2teaspoons mincedgarlic
2teaspoons dried oregano
2teaspoons ground cumin
2teaspoons salt
Instructions:
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crumbly and fully cooked, about 7 to 10 minutes. Combine with water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, green chilies, instant rice, sugar, chili powder, garlic, oregano, cumin, and salt.
Simmer the covered skillet on low heat until the beef is tender and the flavors have melded, approximately 40 minutes.
