Tender oven-roasted pork leg with seasoned olive oil melts in your mouth.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons dried sage
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 (5 pound) pork leg with skin
  • 1 large onion
  • 6 cloves garlic, halved
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 430°F (220°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, fresh sage, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  • Wash pork leg and gently dry with a paper towel. Massage seasoned olive oil all over the pork leg.
  • Slice the onion and separate into rings. Arrange the onion rings and garlic halves at the bottom of a roasting pan. Position the pork on top of the onion and garlic.
  • Continue roasting in the preheated oven at 355 degrees F (180 degrees C) until a thermometer reads at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), about 1 hour 20 minutes more.
  • Allow the pork to rest for 5 minutes before slicing it for serving.
