Spicy and flavorful marinade for pork ribs that will ignite your taste buds.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds pork spareribs, cut into serving size pieces
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar picante sauce
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup barbeque sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 fresh jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped red onion
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, submerge the ribs in water and bring to a boil. Add the lemon juice and simmer the ribs for 1 hour until they are tender. Drain the ribs and transfer them to large resealable plastic bags.
  • Combine picante sauce, brown sugar, barbeque sauce, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, jalapeno peppers, and onion in a saucepan over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally. Pour the mixture over the ribs in plastic bags, seal, and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight to marinate.
  • Preheat the grill to high heat.
  • Prepare the grill grate with a light brushing of oil. Place the ribs on the grill, discarding any leftover marinade. Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the ribs and grill for 10 to 20 minutes, flipping once, until beautifully browned and crispy.
