Award-winning lemon scones made with Bisquick® for a delightful treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 container (6 oz) Yoplait® Original yogurt lemon burst
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F and thoroughly coat a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • Combine Bisquick mix and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Blend in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a separate small bowl, mix egg, yogurt, and whipping cream. Gently fold into the crumb mixture until just combined. Add lemon peel and rosemary.
  • Place the dough on a cookie sheet. Use greased hands to pat the dough into an 8-inch round shape. Brush the dough with 1 tablespoon of whipping cream and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. Cut the dough into 8 wedges using a sharp knife dipped in additional Bisquick mix, without separating the wedges.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until beautifully golden. Cut into wedges and transfer to a cooling rack. Let them cool for 5 minutes. Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl, then drizzle over the scones. Enjoy them warm!
