Ingredients:
1cupbutter, softened
0.5 cupwhite sugar
2cups siftedall-purpose flour
0.5 cupany flavor fruit jam
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for ideal baking conditions.
Cream together the butter and sugar until they are fluffy and light. Add the sifted flour, mixing thoroughly. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on cookie sheets. Use your thumb to make a 1/2-inch indentation in the center of each ball and fill it with your favorite preserves.
Bake until the edges turn golden brown, which should take about 15 to 20 minutes.
