Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup any flavor fruit jam
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for ideal baking conditions.
  • Cream together the butter and sugar until they are fluffy and light. Add the sifted flour, mixing thoroughly. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on cookie sheets. Use your thumb to make a 1/2-inch indentation in the center of each ball and fill it with your favorite preserves.
  • Bake until the edges turn golden brown, which should take about 15 to 20 minutes.
