Decadent chocolate-cinnamon cream cheese filling inside a flaky pastry.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup instant hot chocolate mix
  • 0.25 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Cream margarine and one package of cream cheese together using an electric mixer until smooth in a large bowl. Stir in flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, and vanilla. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Combine another package of cream cheese, the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, hot chocolate mix, and chocolate chips in a separate bowl. Keep aside.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll each one into a 10 to 12-inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Spread a thin layer of the chocolate filling on each circle, then cut them into 8 wedges. Roll each wedge starting from the wide end and place them point-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake at the ideal temperature until beautifully golden, for 25 to 30 minutes. Let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
