Rump steak baguette bites

Choose rump steak for a delicious and affordable meal!
Ingredients:
  • 81.68 gm whole-egg mayonnaise
  • 3 baby gherkins, finely chopped
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 2 tsp capers, rinsed, chopped
  • 250g beef rump steak
  • 4.60 gm olive oil
  • 150g baguette
  • Dill sprigs, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix together the mayonnaise, gherkin, parsley, and capers in a bowl, and let the flavors meld.
  • Season the steak generously with salt and pepper, then drizzle it with oil. Sear the steak in a hot frying pan for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium doneness, or to your preferred level of doneness. Place the steak on a plate, cover it, and let it rest for 5 minutes before thinly slicing.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high while slicing baguette into 24 rounds. Arrange rounds in a single layer on a large baking tray and grill each side for 2 minutes until toasted. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  • Lay steak slices on baguette slices, spoon over the mayonnaise mixture, garnish with dill, sprinkle with pepper, and enjoy!
