Indulge in a heavenly S'mores Swirl Bread for a delightful breakfast treat combining graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows in every bite, perfect for a homemade morning delight!
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 bars (1.55 oz each) milk chocolate candy, finely chopped
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package regular active or fast-acting dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups very warm milk (120°F to 130°F)
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons butter or margarine, melted
Instructions:
  • Generously coat a 9x5-inch or 8x4-inch loaf pan with either shortening or cooking spray.
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar in a small bowl, setting aside 2 teaspoons of the mixture for topping later.
  • Combine flours, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl. Pour in warm milk, oil, and egg. Mix until flour is fully moistened and a stiff batter forms. Transfer half of the batter to the pan, spreading it evenly to cover the pan.
  • Sprinkle batter with marshmallows, graham cracker mixture, and chocolate, making sure to leave a 1/2-inch border of uncovered batter on all sides. Spoon the rest of the batter evenly over the filling, spreading it gently to the sides. Lightly spray a sheet of plastic wrap with cooking spray and cover the pan loosely with the sprayed side down. Allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until the dough has doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top of the loaf is a deep golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped. Remove from the pan and place on a cooling rack. Brush the top with melted butter, then sprinkle with the reserved 2 teaspoons of graham cracker mixture. Allow to cool for 30 minutes.
