Whip up homemade sushi with only 7 simple ingredients for a delicious meal this week!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 quantity Basic sushi rice (see related recipe)
  • 9.20 gm vegetable oil
  • 200g salmon
  • 3 nori sheets
  • 2 tsp wasabi paste
  • 1 small Lebanese cucumber, cut into matchsticks
  • 20.00 ml pickled ginger
Instructions:
  • Prepare the sushi rice as directed in the related recipe. Simultaneously, heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat and cook the salmon for 2 minutes on each side until medium-rare. Allow to cool, then cut into strips.
  • Lay down 1 nori sheet on a sushi mat with the shiny side facing downward. Spread 1/2 cup of rice evenly over the nori, leaving a 2cm strip at one end. Gently apply wasabi in the center of the rice. Place 1/3 portion each of salmon, cucumber, and ginger on top of the wasabi. Roll up tightly using the sushi mat to create a roll.
  • Slice the roll into 6 pieces, then continue slicing the remaining ingredients to create a total of 18 pieces.
