Creamy spinach white sauce - an effortless and quick side dish to elevate your weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon whipped butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch garlic salt
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 0.25 cup low-fat milk
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, gently melt the whipped butter. Then, stir in the flour, garlic salt, and kosher salt until the mixture is smooth.
  • Slowly pour in creamy low-fat milk while stirring gently, then heat until simmering. Lower the heat and cook the sauce until it thickens, making sure to whisk constantly for about 1 minute.
  • Add the spinach to the sauce and heat for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until warmed through.
