Elevate bratwurst in beer sauce on hard rolls with mustard and cooked onions. Indulge in the iconic Sheboygan double-brat for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 (12 ounce) bottles dark beer
  • 2 pounds fresh bratwurst
  • 10 hot dog buns
Instructions:
  • Prepare the outdoor grill by preheating it to high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook sliced onions until tender and translucent, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in chopped garlic and cook for 2 more minutes. Pour in beer and let simmer while grilling the bratwursts.
  • Grill the bratwursts for 30-35 minutes, rotating frequently without piercing the casing. Transfer to the beer sauce to simmer for an extra 10-15 minutes. Serve hot on rolls with onions.
