Sheila's Perfect Sangria

Exotic sangria with Cointreau, coconut rum, pineapple, and zesty citrus flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 2 navel oranges, thinly sliced
  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced
  • 2 limes, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, cored and chopped
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup Cointreau or other orange liqueur
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 0.33333334326744 cup coconut-flavored rum
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 (750 milliliter) bottles dry red wine, chilled
  • 0.5 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
Instructions:
  • Combine the oranges, lemons, limes, pear, kiwi, strawberries, pineapple, and sugar in a large bowl. Drizzle the Cointreau, white rum, coconut rum, and orange juice over the fruit. Gently mix to dissolve the sugar. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours.
  • Combine the red wine, pink lemonade concentrate, lemon juice, and lime juice in a container. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Just before serving, gently pour in the icy lemon-lime soda. Serve over ice, delicately placing the fruit into the glass with the liquid. Top it off with a vibrant orange slice or a few maraschino cherries for a perfect finish.
