Make delicious shrimp cakes with leftover shrimp, bread crumbs, bell peppers, chipotle mayo, and Old Bay® seasoning in just 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 2 teaspoons parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
Instructions:
  • Position an oven rack 6 inches below the broiler and preheat the broiler to a low setting.
  • Add the shrimp to the food processor and pulse until shredded.
  • In a large bowl, combine shrimp with bread crumbs, bell peppers, seafood seasoning, parsley flakes, salt, pepper, onion salt, Italian seasoning, and dry mustard; mix thoroughly.
  • In a small bowl, combine egg, mayonnaise, and hot sauce. Incorporate the mixture into the shrimp blend. Shape into 5 patties and arrange on a baking sheet.
  • Broil the shrimp cakes under high heat for 5 minutes. Then, flip the cakes and continue broiling until both sides are well browned, about 5 minutes each side.
