Healthier, decadent and gooey treat with significantly reduced fat and calories compared to the original recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (8 oz) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese (Neufchâtel), softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 1/4 cup canola oil or unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, blend cream cheese until smooth in a medium bowl. Incorporate the remaining filling ingredients until well combined.
  • Combine brownie mix, oil, water, 4 egg whites, and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a large bowl, stirring until thoroughly mixed. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
  • Dollop filling mixture onto brownie batter in pan. Swirl mixture and batter together with a knife for a marbled effect. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 28 to 32 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the brownie 2 inches from the edge of the pan comes out clean or almost clean. Let it cool completely for about 1 hour. Cut into 24 brownies by making 6 rows by 4 rows. Store covered in the refrigerator.
