Tender pork simmered in zesty jalapeño broth for a mouthwatering chili verde.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 pounds boneless pork shoulder, cubed
  • 5 (7 ounce) cans green salsa
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet or Dutch oven, warm olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant, around 2 minutes. Brown pork on all sides, stirring occasionally. Transfer pork to a slow cooker and combine with salsa, tomatoes, and jalapeño peppers.
  • After 3 hours on High, switch to Low and cook for an additional 4 to 5 hours.
