Create irresistible Slow Cooker Coney Dog topping with bacon, ground beef, fire-roasted tomatoes, and chili beans for the ultimate hot dog indulgence.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onions (about 2 large)
  • 2 cans (16 ounces each) spicy chili beans, drained but not rinsed
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) Muir Glen™ organic fire roasted diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
  • Fry bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy; transfer bacon to paper towels to drain, and discard excess fat from the skillet.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef and onions for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned; then drain.
  • Combine the beef mixture, bacon, and remaining ingredients in a 4- to 5-quart slow cooker.
  • Simmer uncovered for 4 to 5 hours on Low heat. Serve as a delicious topping for hot dogs. Feel free to keep it warm on Low heat for up to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
