Tenderize chicken, sear in skillet, and melt smoked mozzarella for a gourmet twist.
Ingredients:
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8 ounce) package smoked mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Place chicken breasts on your work surface and delicately cover them with waxed paper. Gently pound each breast using the smooth side of a meat mallet until they are evenly thick. Generously sprinkle both sides with flavorful oregano, aromatic onion powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • In a large cast iron skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Sear chicken breasts for 4 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Place sliced mozzarella on top of each breast, cover the skillet, and cook until cheese is melted and chicken is fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Let it cool for 1 minute before serving.
