Elegant cream cheese and smoked salmon tea sandwiches, ideal for special occasions.
Ingredients:
  • 250g spreadable cream cheese
  • 40.00 ml dill sprigs, chopped
  • 40.00 ml chives, chopped
  • 20.00 ml capers, drained, chopped
  • 1/2 lemon rind, finely grated
  • 4 slices light rye bread
  • 4 butter lettuce leaves
  • 200g smoked salmon
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • lemon wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine cheese, dill, chives, capers, and lemon rind in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Toast the bread until it's lightly golden on both sides. Let it cool for a bit, then generously spread the cheesy mixture over the bread.
  • Assemble the sandwich by layering lettuce, salmon, and onion on top of the bread. Season with pepper and serve with lemon wedges.
