Elegant cream cheese and smoked salmon tea sandwiches, ideal for weddings or upscale gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 250g spreadable cream cheese
  • 40.00 ml dill sprigs, chopped
  • 40.00 ml chives, chopped
  • 20.00 ml capers, drained, chopped
  • 1/2 lemon rind, finely grated
  • 4 slices light rye bread
  • 4 butter lettuce leaves
  • 200g smoked salmon
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • lemon wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine cheese, dill, chives, capers, and lemon rind in a bowl, ensuring all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  • Toast the bread until it's lightly golden on both sides. Allow it to cool a bit before generously spreading the cheese mixture over the top.
  • Layer fresh, crispy lettuce on top of the bread, followed by succulent salmon and thinly sliced onion. Sprinkle a touch of fragrant pepper for added flavor. Accompany with zesty lemon wedges for a refreshing finish.
