Indulge in a refreshing cherry sorbet with a hint of dry white wine, perfect for the fleeting cherry season. No ice cream maker required for this elegant treat.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups pitted tart red cherries
  • 0.33333334326744 cup dry white wine
  • 0.5 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, blend cherries until smooth for about 1 minute. Add sugar, white wine, almond extract, and salt. Blend for an additional 30 seconds until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture into a 6-cup freezer container with a flat bottom. Cover and freeze until partially frozen for 3 to 4 hours. Stir and scrape the frozen sorbet, mixing well. Cover and freeze for an additional 2 to 3 hours. Repeat the stirring and scraping process, cover, and freeze overnight.
