Sparkling Cranberry Ginger Punch

Elevate your cranberry punch with a zesty ginger twist - a party essential!
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh gingerroot
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 8 cans (8.4 oz each) sparkling cranberry juice
  • 16 lime slices, frozen
  • 1 bag (12 oz) fresh cranberries, frozen
Instructions:
  • In a 1-quart saucepan, bring water, sugar, and gingerroot to a boil over high heat while stirring until the sugar dissolves. Lower the heat to medium-low and let it simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Take it off the heat, let it cool, strain, and chill the ginger syrup in the refrigerator until cold.
  • In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine 1/2 cup of ginger syrup with lime juice. Include cranberry juice, lime slices, and cranberries. Refrigerate any leftover ginger syrup for future use.
