Spiced cherry and balsamic ham glaze recipe

Create a festive Christmas ham glaze by mixing cherry jam with cinnamon and allspice.
Ingredients:
  • 370g jar cherry jam
  • 53.75 gm caster sugar
  • 40.00 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
Instructions:
  • Combine jam, sugar, vinegar, cinnamon, and allspice in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Let it stand for 10 minutes, then strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a heatproof bowl, discarding solids.
