Spiced white hot chocolate

Cozy up with a decadent spiced white hot chocolate.
Ingredients:
  • 1l milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick or quill
  • 2 whole cloves
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • 200g good-quality white chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 60ml frangelico
  • 300ml thickened cream, lightly whipped
  • Shaved white chocolate, to serve
  • Ground nutmeg, extra, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over low heat, gently mix together the milk, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until fragrant. Add the chopped chocolate and stir until melted. Remove and discard the cinnamon and cloves, then mix in liqueur, if desired.
  • Pour the hot chocolate into serving cups, top with a dollop of whipped cream, and finish with a sprinkle of shaved chocolate and a touch of extra nutmeg.
