Spicy-sweet pork sausage patties with maple syrup - easy to customize with your favorite spices.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground marjoram
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix the pork with maple syrup, salt, sage, onion powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, marjoram, coriander, and cloves until well combined. Shape the mixture into 10 small patties.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Cook patties in batches until fully cooked and juices run clear, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 160 degrees F (73 degrees C) using an instant-read thermometer.
