Spicy tofu salad bowl: Layer rice, lettuce, cucumbers, and tofu; top with zesty Asian sauce for a quick meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1.5 teaspoons Korean chile pepper powder, or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon toasted Asian sesame oil
  • 1.5 cups steamed Japanese rice
  • 0.5 head of romaine lettuce (heart only), torn into bite-size pieces
  • 0.5 cucumber - peeled, seeded, and chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) package tofu, sliced
Instructions:
  • Combine green onions, soy sauce, sesame seeds, Korean red pepper powder, sugar, and sesame oil in a bowl, mixing thoroughly until well blended.
  • In a serving bowl, layer rice, lettuce, and cucumber. Top with tofu and drizzle with desired amount of sesame mixture.
