Ribs simmered in tangy BBQ sauce, then broiled to sticky perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds pork back ribs, cut into serving size pieces
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, submerge the ribs in water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium and simmer for about an hour until the ribs are tender. While the ribs are cooking, mix ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, and liquid smoke in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium-low heat and cook uncovered, stirring often, until it thickens, around 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the broiler and position the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Place the ribs on the baking sheet, meaty-side-up, after draining. Brush half of the barbeque sauce on the ribs and broil in the preheated oven until the sauce is sticky and lightly browned, about 7 minutes. Flip the ribs over, brush with remaining sauce, and continue broiling until sticky, about 7 minutes.
