"Renowned chef Andi from Betty Crocker Kitchens presents her latest recipe."
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups Cinnamon Burst Cheerios™ cereal, crushed
  • 1/3 cup green summer coating candy wafers (about 2 oz)*
  • Assorted decorating sprinkles
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, bring corn syrup and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, then mix in peanut butter until smooth. Lastly, fold in cereal until fully incorporated.
  • Grease the inside edges of a 2 1/2-inch shamrock-shaped cookie cutter with cooking spray. Fill the cutter with approximately ¼ cup of cereal mixture. Cover the cereal with a piece of waxed paper and press down firmly to shape the mixture within the cookie cutter.
  • Transfer the cereal mixture from the cutter onto a sheet of waxed paper. Repeat this process with the rest of the cereal mixture, spraying the cookie cutter as required. Let it cool for approximately 30 minutes before adding decorations.
  • Microwave candy wafers in a small bowl on Medium (50%) for 1 minute, then stir. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Spread over the top of each treat.
  • Garnish to your liking.
