Create a homemade Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino by mixing cold brew with condensed milk and cocoa powder.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 0.5 pound dark roast ground coffee beans
  • cheesecloth
  • coffee filters
  • 5 cups 1% milk
  • 0.5 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup hot tap water
Instructions:
  • Combine 6 cups of water and coffee in a 1/2-gallon jar (like Ball) until the grounds are fully soaked. Let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Chill coffee in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Set up a small colander on a lidded plastic container. Cover the colander with a 6-inch square of cheesecloth and secure a coffee filter on top.
  • Slowly pour 1 cup of coffee into the colander until the filter starts to clog. Gently lift the corners of the cheesecloth, twist, and extract the liquid. Filter the remaining liquid 1 cup at a time using a fresh coffee filter each time. Repeat with the grounds, filtering 1 cup at a time and squeezing out as much liquid as possible. Refrigerate the concentrate until needed.
  • Mix together the concentrate, 1% milk, and condensed milk in a 1/2-gallon jar.
  • Combine 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon of sugar and cocoa powder in a bowl with hot tap water. Pour into the coffee-milk mixture, cover the jar, and shake vigorously.
