Elevate your steak with a zesty pepper sauce, simple to make. Pair with your favorite veggies for a delicious, satisfying meal your family will adore.
Ingredients:
  • 3 chat potatoes
  • 4.60 gm olive oil
  • 220g scotch fillet steak
  • 1 1/2 tsp drained green peppercorns (see note)
  • 63.13 gm pouring cream
  • 80g green beans, topped (see note), washed
  • 50g baby spinach leaves
Instructions:
  • In a shallow microwavesafe dish, arrange the potatoes and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of water. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes until just tender. Cover with foil and set aside.
  • In a heavy-based frying pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes on each side for medium doneness or until desired. Transfer the steak to a plate and cover with foil.
  • Place peppercorns into the pan and reduce heat to medium. Cook and stir for 1 minute. Then, add cream and let it simmer for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Put beans in a small freezer bag and seal tightly. Microwave on HIGH for 1 to 2 minutes until just tender. Open bag, add spinach, and let sit for 1 minute.
  • Present the steak elegantly on a plate and drizzle with the flavorful pepper sauce. Accompany with a side of perfectly cooked vegetables.
