Homemade whoopie pies with peanut butter frosting: a deliciously easy and irresistible treat combining chocolate, peanut butter, and cakey goodness!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup hot water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1.75 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 0.25 cup peanut butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine 1 cup of butter with the egg until creamy. Mix in 1 cup of white sugar, along with vanilla and hot water. Fold in flour, cocoa, and baking soda until thoroughly combined.
  • Spoon onto baking sheets and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
  • For the peanut butter frosting, combine 1 tablespoon of butter with peanut butter until creamy. Mix in confectioners' sugar and add milk until smooth and spreadable. Sandwich the frosting between two cookies and repeat with the rest of the cookies. Enjoy!
