My friend's delicious baked beans recipe can be made with any type of beans you like.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 pound sliced bacon, diced
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (16 ounce) can baked beans with pork, drained
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can great Northern beans, drained
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect temperature to start baking.
  • Preheat a Dutch oven over medium heat (or use a large pot/saucepan). Add beef, bacon, and onion. Cook and stir until beef is golden and crumbled. Remove excess grease.
  • Fold in the baked beans, kidney beans, and Great Northern beans. Mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, salt, mustard powder, vinegar, and molasses; gently incorporate into the beans. If not using a Dutch oven, transfer to a casserole dish.
  • Cook in the oven for an hour and a half after preheating.
