Penne pasta and crisp vegetables tossed in zesty Catalina and Italian dressings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package penne pasta
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 (16 ounce) bottle Catalina salad dressing
  • 1 cup Italian-style salad dressing
  • 1 cucumber, chopped
  • 2 (2 ounce) cans sliced black olives
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped baby carrots
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon celery salt
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then cook pasta until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Combine vinegar and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a rapid boil for one minute.
  • Combine the vinegar mixture, Catalina dressing, and Italian dressing in a large bowl, ensuring they are well mixed. Add the pasta, cucumber, olives, tomato, onion, carrots, and bell pepper, and toss everything together. Season with celery salt, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
