Nutty-like crispy treats, perfect for school parties.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted sunflower butter, stirred well
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces marshmallows (about 30 regular-sized marshmallows)
  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal
Instructions:
  • Line all sides of an 8x8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and secure it in place using small bag clips.
  • In a medium saucepan over gentle heat, combine the butter, sunflower butter, and salt. Stir gently with a rubber spatula until smooth and runny.
  • Combine marshmallows with sunflower butter: Gently fold in the marshmallows using a rubber spatula until they are melted and well combined with the sunflower butter mixture. Adjust heat if needed to prevent sticking.
  • Stir in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated in the marshmallow mixture.
  • Prepare the pan by dumping the entire mixture into it. Evenly spread the mixture using a rubber spatula or your fingers. Let the treats cool at room temperature for about an hour until it becomes firmer but still deliciously gooey.
  • To elegantly present your creation, gently lift the treats out of the pan using the parchment paper slings onto a cutting board. With a sharp knife, slice the treat into nine equal pieces. For a neater cut, refrigerate for 10 minutes if the treat is too sticky or crumbly.
