Savory Chinese five-spice red quinoa side dish - quick and delicious!
Ingredients:
2cups water
1.5 teaspoons butter
1tablespoonChinese five-spice powder
0.25 teaspoonground ginger
0.25 teaspoonblack pepper
1cubebeef bouillon
1cupred quinoa, rinsed and drained
Instructions:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, five-spice powder, ginger, black pepper, and beef bouillon cube. Bring to a boil, stir until the bouillon cube dissolves, then add quinoa. Simmer low, cover, and cook for about 20 minutes until all the water is absorbed.
