Savory Chinese five-spice red quinoa side dish - quick and delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 1.5 teaspoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cube beef bouillon
  • 1 cup red quinoa, rinsed and drained
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, five-spice powder, ginger, black pepper, and beef bouillon cube. Bring to a boil, stir until the bouillon cube dissolves, then add quinoa. Simmer low, cover, and cook for about 20 minutes until all the water is absorbed.
